The viewer panel couldn't be easier to use. It comprises of four main areas, a video window, a slide window, a live text chat window and a question and answer section.

What is so different about Electern is its ability to swap certain areas within the panel. In the picture to the left you see a standard presentation style but should the presenter wish to demonstrate something such a small video window would be impractical there for the slide and video windows can swap places making the video much larger than the slide.

During a presentation viewers can type questions or comments in the live chat area which appear in front of the presenter and they can respond to camera.

Should the presentation have been recorded and archived all of the questions and comments are stored on the Electern server and can be viewed by the presenter at a later date.

In the questions section of the browser pre-prepared multiple choice questions can be displayed to which a viewer makes their selection and sends their answer to the Electern server. These answers are recorded for the individual, marked, graded and collated in real time and are available for the presenter by the time they have finished the presentation. Of course no correct answer makes this a voting motion and these responses are processed in the same way.
